Course Structure (10 Weeks)
Week 1 – Introduction to Contemplative Art
Understanding art as presence, slow looking, and gentle engagement.
Week 2 – Seeing with Attention
Colour, perception, and awareness before technique.
Week 3 – Body, Breath, and Mark
Brushwork guided by breath and bodily awareness.
Week 4 – Process over Outcome
Letting go of results, embracing uncertainty.
Week 5 – Layering and Impermanence
Building, erasing, and accepting change.
Week 6 – Emotional Regulation through Painting
Staying with difficulty, allowing calm to emerge.
Week 7 – Coexistence and Complexity
Holding multiple elements without conflict.
Week 8 – Reflection and Meaning
Personal reflection without interpretation pressure.
Week 9 – Integration into Daily Life
Transferring awareness from painting into living.
Week 10 – Sharing and Closure
Group sharing, reflection, and gentle completion.
Assessment Approach
There are no grades or formal evaluations. Participation is based on
attendance, engagement, and reflective presence. The emphasis is on
personal experience rather than technical mastery.
