Curved lines — flowing, bending and looping, bringing movement. Diagonal lines — creating tension and direction. Broken lines — suggesting interruption, hesitation or rhythm. Repeated lines — creating texture and visual rhythm. Crossing lines — producing complexity and interaction. Dotted and short marks — showing that a line doesn't always have to be continuous. Dense lines — creating weight and intensity. Light, transparent lines — creating softness and space. Dark, emphatic lines — attracting attention and giving energy. And perhaps most importantly, the lines have different personalities. Some lines feel calm. Some feel nervous. Some feel playful. Some feel restless. Some feel deliberate.
